Final home game a washout

Well I guess the last game of the first season in Nats Park wasn't meant to be. After a little over 2 hours of delay the game was finally cancelled. I am glad I couldn't go (school night) but I am sorry I missed the final opportunity to see my boys in 2008. Hopefully there will be offseason events where I can see some of the team. Now we will go to Philadelphia and try to ruin their playoff hopes like we did last year to the Mets.

Tuesday night I got to be the kid that yelled play ball before the game. It was a very cool experience and I will write details in the coming weeks. I also had my birthday party at the stadium on Sunday. The best Manager in the world Manny Acta autographed items for us and took a picture with me and my friends. I also went to the season ticket holders picnic on Saturday and met many of the players including Ryan Zimmerman. These are just a few examples of the stories I will write about in my blog.

I want to hear from other kids about our team and the fun you have had at the games. Please send me your comments and experiences so we can talk about them.

I want to encourage everyone to look at the best manager in the world's charity website www.impactakids.org. impACTA kids is an organization set up by Mr. Acta to help children in the US and Dominican Republic. We can all help by reaching out to our friends and family to donate money. I have held lemonade stands and donated the money to the charity and I will talk more about this topic in the future.

Finally let's got Nats and sweep the Phillies out of the playoffs this weekend!!

Off to school,

KT

Katie,
I can not wait to see what you write in your blog after you interview Manny at spring training. Chris
