Uh oh we lost 100!

Last night we lost our 100th game!!! It was not a close game either:( We suffered on both sides, defense, and offense. We had a young pitcher get completely crushed. Collin Ballester didn't even last 2 innings!!! But it's okay, we'll stick with them while they improve. Even though it's thick and thin it feels good when they win and we know that we stuck with our team.

Right now we are playing on national tv against the Phillies(but we're losing). I heard that Mr. Acta is going to make some coaching changes at the end of the year!!!

Stay tuned!! I hope everybody stays(or gets) well. If you have any questions or comments please click on the comment button on the bottom of the page. Also don't forget impactakids.com Mr.Acta needs your help!!

Well ta-ta for now and thank-you for reading my blog!!

Final home game a washout

Well I guess the last game of the first season in Nats Park wasn't meant to be. After a little over 2 hours of delay the game was finally cancelled. I am glad I couldn't go (school night) but I am sorry I missed the final opportunity to see my boys in 2008. Hopefully there will be offseason events where I can see some of the team. Now we will go to Philadelphia and try to ruin their playoff hopes like we did last year to the Mets.

Tuesday night I got to be the kid that yelled play ball before the game. It was a very cool experience and I will write details in the coming weeks. I also had my birthday party at the stadium on Sunday. The best Manager in the world Manny Acta autographed items for us and took a picture with me and my friends. I also went to the season ticket holders picnic on Saturday and met many of the players including Ryan Zimmerman. These are just a few examples of the stories I will write about in my blog.

I want to hear from other kids about our team and the fun you have had at the games. Please send me your comments and experiences so we can talk about them.

I want to encourage everyone to look at the best manager in the world's charity website www.impactakids.org. impACTA kids is an organization set up by Mr. Acta to help children in the US and Dominican Republic. We can all help by reaching out to our friends and family to donate money. I have held lemonade stands and donated the money to the charity and I will talk more about this topic in the future.

Finally let's got Nats and sweep the Phillies out of the playoffs this weekend!!

Off to school,

Welcome to my Washington Nationals Blog 4 kids

I am a 10 year old, 5th grade girl. I am a huge Washington Nationals fan and wanted to create a place where other kids could learn about baseball and discuss our favorite team! As my Blog evolves I will add pictures of my favorite Nationals players and discuss topics about the team. I am a season ticket holder with my dad so we will have lots of things to discuss. I will also talk about my trips to spring training as we get closer to the new season.

Right now it's time to root our boys thru to the end of the season. Tonight is the last home game of the year. Let's hope we can end with a win. Several of the players have been sick with the flu, hopefully Zimmy, Christian, and the best Manager in the world Manny are feeling better.

Till next time LET'S GO NATS!!!!!
